BloodSmoke is an LA-based electronic rock band consisting of members Brandon DeLyzer and Connor Kuehn. After touring together as guns-for-hire for another artist, it inspired the duo to create their own project with a futuristic mercenary aesthetic. Sniper and spotter, the two work in tandem. In fact, the group even has their own comic book based off of a curation of video games and movies they grew up with. DeLyzer has an extensive background as a live sound and studio engineer, while Kuehn is a classically trained drummer out of USC. Both are touring pros and long-time producers for other artists. The music wanders between instrumentals and tracks featuring eclectic guest vocalists like Kozze (XO), Australian pop queen Adelina, and most recently, famed rocktronic singer Micah Martin on their brand new track "Dreaming In Silence."
What really separates the duo from similar electronic artists like Rezz and Deathpact is the spotlight they put on their use of live drums, which are recorded at Robby Krieger's studio (The Doors) in Burbank. No amount of programming can imitate a good drummer. Kuehn's energetic and unique choice of beats and fills makes every bar in a BloodSmoke track exciting. The duo have also created a new electrifying science-fiction and action-packed comic book that thrusts readers into a dystopian future where a corrupt megacorporation called ShadowTech controls everything from technology to humanity itself (hyperlink to comic concept below).
With vast experience performing, the band has built an incredible live show with heavy bass production and the charisma of live instrumentation. Click below for more.
